The Warriors traveled to Oak Grove to play for the district championship. Playing in the rain for much of the first half, the Warriors prevailed 17-0 behind a strong performance from All-State running back Boyd Chandler and All-State Defensive End Chris Jones. Jones was selected as the News-Star's defenisve player of the week.

1996 Season




In the 1996 seasonthe Warriors traveled to Shreveport to take on the Loyola Flyers at Independence Stadium. Always a hard-fought game, this Friendship Bowl was no different. The Warriors had the ball with 2:00 left in the game, down 15-14. After driving to theLoyola 15 yard line, CaseyBishop, the Warriors' quarterback, made a 32-yard field goal with less than a minute left. TheWarriors tookdown Loyola 17-15. It was the first field goal thatBishop had ever attempted.
